About Village Film

Village Film uses production and training in factual film making to deliver community, personal and organisational development programmes. Village Film Ltd. is registered company number 5584317 and based at 93 Alleyn Park, London SE21 8AA.

Who we are

Village Film was set up by documentary maker and former sociologist, psychotherapist and teacher David Grey. We work through a network of freelance media and educational professionals as well as community volunteers.

What we do

In partnership with local community groups we design, fundraise, and organise factual digital video production which include opportunities for learning and personal development.

Village Film Manifesto — our goals are:

To make documentaries, factual and information films, and corporate / promotional videos, focusing on matters of social concern and working with groups and organisations seeking to make the world a better place.

Using team-based film training, to enable people to increase self-esteem, develop their capacity for self-expression and develop the skills of time-keeping, teamwork and self-discipline.

Through all our activities, to enhance a sense of community and to combat social exclusion.

To ensure that all our activities reflect the rich diversity of our multicultural community.
